My brother got married and I don’t even have the words.
First, because I am so overwhelmingly happy for my baby brother. He is the most deserving person of happiness and he has found it in Kristina. Anyone who has ever met my brother Greg, will tell you that he is the nicest guy in the world. And he really is. He refuses to see bad in anyone. He lives a life that is positive and happy – always. He has been my best friend, the best brother, the greatest uncle. And now I know he will be the best husband. My new sister-in-law, Kristina, is incredible. I love her for so many reasons but a big one is that she thinks my brother hung the moon. She adores my little brother and honestly, that’s a big sisters dream come true.
I don’t even have words because of the incredible amount of time, talent and absolute love that Kristina and Greg’s vendor team put into this wedding.
I have spent 11 years in this industry loving my clients deeply and working my buns off to make sure their days are magic because I adore my clients. And it was just really, really surreal to be on this side of things and feel all that love be poured into my family. Kristina and Greg’s wedding planner, Boldly Chic Events, made the day possible. You guys I can’t say that enough. Kristina was in med school, Greg was busy, they were getting ready to move. They did not have time to plan a wedding. So Lori did. And my gosh it was perfect. I will never, ever be able to thank Lori (one of my very best friends) enough for the many, many ways and hours that she loved on this couple and their wedding day.
The Empty Vase, the Central Library, The Ritz, Hello Gorgeous, My Yellow Rickshaw, Unique Heart Productions ALL made this day magic. And I mean magic. It was perfect, every minute. And it truly is because of this team of vendors. To each of them, THANK YOU!
And I definitely don’t even have words for my incredible team. Mallary and Megan helped me take these photos and I am eternally grateful that I got to live the ceremony and so much of the reception as the sister of the groom. My team is amazing and it was a gift to have peace of mind in knowing that even when I wasn’t behind the camera, every photo would be taken and every photo would be gorgeous. Mallary and Megan, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!
And thank you to my brother who has been my biggest supporter in this business from day one. Being asked to take these photos, being honored to capture my brother with his new wife – I’m flattered still. My brother came to me and asked if I could be their photographer. He said they loved my style, the way I edit, the colors, all of it. I don’t think I’ve ever been given a better compliment and it was the biggest pleasure to take these photos that I know our families will love for a lifetime.
Finally, I don’t even have the words because today I am writing this as my mom enters her 6th year as a breast cancer SURVIVOR with a CLEAR MAMMOGRAM (praise, praise praise) and I am looking at photos of her being so proud and happy. And honestly, I DON’T EVEN HAVE THE WORDS to express how truly grateful I am that my mom is beautiful and healthy and that we were all able to live this day together. I will never get tired of looking at photos of our miracle mom dancing with her little boy at his wedding. Ever.
Take a look at these special photos.
