Our 2018 wedding season has officially wrapped with the beautiful celebration of Courtney and Sean.

This day was a fun and sweet celebration of this incredible couple. We loved capturing their lovely Sacred Heart Cathedral ceremony. It was a beautiful moment to watch these two say their vows in front of such loving friends and family. And their Scottish Rite reception was breathtaking. Burgundy flowers and candlelit centerpieces gave the SRC a romantic flair.

Thank you to Courtney and Sean for letting us celebrate with them. We enjoyed every moment.

Here’s to a great 2018, we’ll be back with new weddings in March 2019.

A Central Library Wedding will always be some one of our favorites.

First of all, a Central Library Wedding is truly special. The architecture, natural light and incredible outdoor scenery make this venue a show-stopper. And because of that, The Central Library has always been and will always be one of our very, very favorite venues. Danielle and Brian’s wedding day brought all the Central Library magic to life and as a result, it was a stunning event.

A perfect outdoor Central Library Wedding

Danielle and Brian shared their vows in the sweet courtyard of the Central Library. This private space feels like a cozy park nestled in the middle of a big city. It’s a beautiful and lush little park just perfect for outdoor “I Do’s.” Danielle and Matt’s ceremony was sweet and personal, officiated by a friend. They shared beautiful vows and their families celebrated every moment with tears and laughter. It was the happiest ceremony and a perfect beginning to a beautiful life together.

This Central Library Wedding Reception was SHOW-STOPPING

Danielle and Brian’s reception was a sleek and modern celebration. Their slate-gray linens and white orchids turned the library ballroom into a luxe affair that was filled with cool details and touches. We love the natural light inside the Central Library and as a result, we couldn’t wait to get our hands and cameras on the stunning details that Danielle had planned.

Danielle and Brian made this day a dream

We loved working with Danielle and Brian. Truly, they’re wonderful. They’re so kind and happy and above all, they’re full of joy. And their friends and family are exactly the same. Every single person at this wedding made it the best day ever and because of that, we were thoroughly honored to capture these moments for such a fantastic group.

There’s nothing sweeter than hearing rave reviews from our brides. And Danielle’s kind words just meant the world:

“Sara was an absolute dream to work with. Brian and I were nervous about taking all of these intimate photos, and Sara made it so easy for us. It felt like we had known her for years and we felt so comfortable with her. Sara was very professional throughout the process, and was very good at instructing everyone and keeping us on track for the day. She captured our day so well and we couldn’t be happier with the way our photos came out! Sara even sent them all to us not even a week after our wedding! We will definitely be using her for any future events to come.”

We love Central Library Weddings

All of us at Sara Ackermann Photography love the Central Library so, so much. Some of our absolute favorite events were captured in this space. Do you love this space to? Check out more of our work at the Central Library here: Liz + Andrew, Lauren + Matt.

Newfields weddings are truly stunning.

Jordan and Matt’s Newfields Wedding has to be at the top of the list of gorgeous Newfields celebrations. Their ceremony and reception both found a home at Newfields and because of the incredible design of Boldly Chic Events, guests were wow’d every step of the day.

Guests were invited to witness Jordan and Matt share their vows on a perfect fall Newfields wedding day.

Jordan and Matt’s outdoor ceremony was luxe with deep purple tones, lush florals and iron accents. Jordan and Matt greeted their guests with glasses of champagne adorned with blackberries to add a cohesive touch. This chic touch was visualized by the incredible team of Boldly Chic Events.

Jordan and Matt’s ceremony was breathtaking and filled with special moments. There’s nothing as sweet as watching a groom truly overwhelmed at the sight of his bride walking down the aisle. Matt’s reaction was as sweet as you could hope and because of that, we will always love these ceremony photos.

Boldly Chic Events led the design of this Newfields Wedding.

The Deer Zinc ballroom was just as glamorous as the ceremony and dripping in crystals and also florals. The deep plum and purple tones made for a romantic and chic evening. The BCE team planned even the smallest details to take this wedding to the next-level. As a result, the ballroom was filled with show-stopping elements. Black acrylic menu cards and small floral touches were perfect at each place setting. And velvet textured linens made a statement while floral sashes sweetly adorned the seats of the new Mr and Mrs. For paperie, Interprintations offered their incredible talent to give the table numbers and invites a very fitting touch. They designed the pieces to resemble the iconic Newfields iron gates, a favorite of Jordan and Matt. Every touch of this wedding was planned perfectly and executed beautifully.

Jordan and Matt made the day so fun.

While it’s obvious Jordan and Matt had a stunning celebration, nothing was as exciting as spending the day with Jordan and Matt themselves. We loved this couple so much and as a result, we truly had the very best time working with them. They were fun through every phase of their planning process. Because of that, it was a joy to celebrate such wonderful people. We are so thankful our jobs led us to the friendship of such a cool girl in Jordan.

The very best way to wrap up a wedding as gorg. as this one is to be flooded with raves from the bride. We edited and delivered Jordan and Matt’s photos to them within a week or two and were thrilled to immediately receive an email back with this level of excitement:

“Sara,

You are just the best…. I’m still drooling over the photos!”

We always have the best time capturing the incredible work of Boldly Chic Events and have the most fun ever working with their entire team.

Annette and Mark had the most perfect fall wedding. The weather was beautiful, the bridesmaids were stunning in burgundy, and Annette and Mark was as happy as can be.

We celebrated all day with Annette and Mark at the Conrad. From sweet getting ready moments, to a packed dance floor, the Conrad was the perfect home for this stunning day. Annette and Mark shared their “I Do’s” in the Conrad ballroom and later their guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts and good music late into the night.

Thank you to Annette and Mark for being truly wonderful. We loved every moment of working with you and couldn’t be happier for you both!
